Local journalists grapple with Oklahoma tornadoes; Obama administration targets Fox News reporter; Michael Smerconish on political polarization; Howard puts Google Glass to the test
John Ziegler, who made 'Media Malpractice: How Obama Got Elected and Palin Was Targeted', talks to Howard Kurtz about Palin's "bunker mentality" and his decision to sever ties with her.
A shockingly false and slunderoas post, Lisa. The last thing I would ever do is mock the Mother of God, in public or private. Having participated in the 2007 transferral of the Holy Relics of her mother St Anna from Greece to the United States, I strive to revere her as faithful Christians ought and there is simply no way I would ever deliberately slight her.As it happens, I do believe the Virgin Mary occasionally appears to children and others on verdant hillsides St Juan Diego, St Bernadette Soubirous, Fatima, Me?ugorje and so there is no mockery in noting this. You have badly misread my post above, which gently makes fun of Sarah Palin's own dilatory habits in public scheduling, as well as the vaguely cultic devotion with which her most fervent admirers regard her. Honesty demands that you amend this post at least and retract it at most. Your accusations bring you great shame.
He said in this clip several times that the reason he's coming out against Sarah Palin is to get a job somewhere. He also stated that Sarah Palin doesn't trust many people.
If her "strongest supporters" like Ziegler keep turning on her is it any wonder why she would be distrustful? I hope she runs. We need her.
He finally furgie it out. Before he selected Palin as his running mate, his campaign was going nowhere. After her selection he even took the lead for the first time. Palin's rallies drew thousands and even tens of thousands of people who were willing to stand in line, and wait for hours to see her.
Meh, I still don’t buy the idea that Palin will run. We’ve already seen the Palin approach. She’ll claim some sort of victimhood or potential victimhood and stay on the sidelines where she can safely shoot spitballs and continue collecting millions from Fox and her pac. As soon as she declares, all that money is gone, and when she loses, it’ll stay gone. A pres run is a no-win scenario for her bank account.
Yes her followers want her to run, but if she claims that running would allow the mean librul media to hurt her family, or eat into the quality time she gets to spend with trig, they’ll eat that up with a spoon and continue to support her in her role as outsider antagonist/best grizzly mom evar. She has little to fear in terms of reprisal from the ‘bots.
Her brand would be far more damaged by the horrific train wreck that an embarrassing failed presidential attempt would inevitably result in, than it would if she decided to just continue her current approach of slinging bumpersticker slogans from the peanut gallery.
The only possible reason I could see for her running, would be if her narcissism is truly so extreme that the notoriety of being the first female pres candidate overrides her greed instinct.
Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover. Host Howard Kurtz is the nation's premier media critic, and each week he questions print reporters, television correspondents and Internet bloggers about how the press is covering the major stories of the week.

We’ll see…
