Hurricane Irene Coverage: Overhyped?

    i agree the coverage of irene was Way To Much. i understand why it was important for the local news to cover this storm 24/7 but not 24/7 coverage by cable. i rely on cable news to keep me informed about worldwide news not just the east coast of the united states as usual the cable news servers behaved as if they had OCD. i for one do not need to see news people standing on corners and in unsafe circumstances to tell me about a storm. they should heed the warnings they are telling others and take cover. it's a big world out there tell us about it 45 minutes out of each hour then go back to the OCD behavior.
