Interesting article. It is extremely unfortunate that over the last 10 years, the travel industry has had to tackle terrorism, SARS, tsunamis, bird flu, swine flu, along with the first ever real global economic depression. John hits it right on the head.The American Crusade that numb nuts Bush started ainagst Al Quida was about as poorly thought out as anything we ever did. Anihlation is all that the Muslims understand or subscribe to. An Arab that belongs to a Mosque is a terrorist. If he (or she ) believes in the koran, then they believe in terrorism. The Koran is not a religious bible, it is a creed of terror. And the idiots in Washington should not consider it as a protected religion.Of course both the Democrats and Republicans will kiss any ass for a vote. Neut Gingrich would probably make an excellent choice for president. Where he lose creditability was with the Contract with America . It was what the American people wanted and swept the Republican's into office. And then, the useless politicians proceeded to totally dismantel and corrupt it. No one in the world trusts us. We suddenly pulled out of Korea and Vietnam letting millions of the people who helped us get slaughtered.The first Gulf War, George senior did the same thing. Suddenly ended the war, leaving a million Kurds who helped us be slaughtered by Saddam.I'm all for getting our boys out of Afganistan and Iraq. But, we are doing the same thing again. I was more for never going in there in the first place. I have always believed that, You should never place men on the ground in any country that you don't want to keep . Anyway, Most of our successes have been with guided missiles, bombs and remotely piloted aircraft. Even the boys who don't get killed, come home with mental and physical disabilities that they will never get over.Another thing that amazes me is the many billions of dollars we give to each of the Muslim nations every year to support their people. And, I don't think that the Arab people ever see any of the money. Pakistan, who supported the 9-11 attack gets $405 billion dollars a year from us.Well', I guess we got some of it back on 9-11.
Howard, you and the rest of the media keep referring to Gingrich's "asking for forgiveness" and his "repentance" as if that actually happened. Can you cite when and where that happened?. All I can recall is Gingrich granting one interview in which he disingenuously and incredibly blamed his "passion for his country" causing him to lose his bearings. And his second wife Marianne says he has never apologized to her.
...so she had an affair with Newt when he was married to his 1st wife and now she was upset that he had a new affair?...she said NO to a open marriage and Hilliary said YES...whats the news?...and when is NO evidence of tax evasion in the Caymans a story re: Romney?...I imagine there is no evidence of wife beating also but I'm sure the investigation will continue ....

Maybe because he preaches how to be moral and how to live and marry to the rest of us. And he went after Clinton and tried to impeach him so he evidently didn't believe this behavior was morally correct for Bill Clinton.
Thank you Brian for your report it is funny to think that Newt doesn't always tell the truth. And turns the blame on the messenger. And thank you Howard for reporting on this.
Why all the "moral" talk about Newt's past? President Clinton has many more affairs & indiscretions, and he was loved and elected. In fact, his wife is still married to him and more powerful than ever.
Susan, do you know the meaning of the word "hypocrite?" Gingrich was cheating on his wife when he led the impeachment campaign against Clinton. He has said moral character is a proper subject in vetting candidates for high office. Or perhaps hypocrisy is something you appreciate in a politician.
