kurtz and muto had the opportunity to testify together as to media's overall disinterest in journalism whether it be in favor of demagoguery, tabloidism, sensationalism, fear mongering or any of the other shallow persuits modern media has taken to in place of journalism. They failed.

I could not imagine being stuck in such a negative, 24/7, propaganda ridden work environment.......this man's soul was being sucked out of his body.....I feel that way within one minute of viewing the Fox GOP channel. It's not about right or left leaning belief systems, it is about the fear mongering, the complete mis-information, and the obvious twisting of any truth in order to bait their low information viewers into believing their rhetoric. He deserves a medal!!!!!

Bill Reilly is a racist, sexist jerk who has no right to call himself a news journalist. That being said I have looked at that picture. http://gawker.com/5901481/heres-a-picture-of-bill-oreilly-with-a-topless-woman-along-with-the-fox-news-legal-threat-meant-to-quash-it First, this picture was obviously taken well before 1975. Young men make mistakes. Second, Fox News was launched in 1996, long after this picture was taken. If Bill O'Reilly wishes to sue for defamation of character, it's his right. Fox News, on the other hand, cannot own a picture that was taken that many years BEFORE they were even in business. That would be like CBS or ABC claiming that a picture of Katie Couric take while she was with NBC belonged to them. Lastly, people who believe the NEWS in Fox News are sadly mistaken. The only thing that Fox (Faux) News cares about is the ratings but then that has been the downfall of the news media today. It isn't about informing the people but the almighty dollar. What a sad legacy to Edward R. Murrow and Walter Cronkite.

Bill O'Reilly is not a racist or a sexist. And Fox News is a legitimate news source. Fact. Period.

Ok, I am not a fan of Fox news, but what is this guy actually hoping to gain here? I mean, could it be that he did not get hired within the industry (or get promoted beyond Assc. Producer at Fox) because he had not talent or character traits to commend him? Also notice his really odd facial expressions transitions. When he is speaking, he is totally animated, and any time the anchor is speaking his face just drops into this weird expressionless mask. I am not trying to imply that there is something wrong with him, it just looks bloody weird.

I don't know about any of you, but if someone put me on a nationally televised show, I'd probably behave a little abnormally.

This guy is an idiot, all the "information" he claims to have is nothing more than public knowledge. We all know how far right FOX is. It shows in every sentence they utter this is nothing new. They have been bashing Democratic candidates and anyone else who doesn't conform to the shotgun toting, gay-hating redneck news organization they are. This is America they have to right have those views no matter what others may feel about them. So now that this guy has put a billboard reflecting how much of a money grubbing worm he is, I hope he enjoyed his 15 minutes cause its over!

Admits he was a bad employee and couldn't get promoted. Admits no one else would hire him. Admits he didn't want to work there.

Nothing but a bad employee who wants to blame everyone else for his unhappiness and inability to get a promotion or a new job.

Not sure why this guy is news at all. He has absolutely nothing to say and nothing to back up what little he insinuates.

I would have thought that Muto's complaints against Fox would have had more substance to them, seeing the way he went down. Yet from this interview, it seems like his gripe was rather general. He leaned to the left, while many at Fox leaned to the right. So what?

He's right about the being blackballed stuff. i know a couple of people who work at Foxnews, and have for years, who are dying to get out. mid-level production manager types – they can't get any other job in anything remotely journalistic related. Once you go to work there you are stuck. Sure, a major personality like David Shuster can jump ship, but the rank and file types are stuck.

    "...I was blackballed..."

Try telling that to Major Garrett. He's doing quite well for himself. And did you know David Shuster used to work for Fox?

The only revealing thing about this interview was Howard revealing that Gawker paid this loser $5K. This guy was blowing smoke.

You can't really compare well known contributors to associate producers, writers, directors, crew, etc. Contributors are in demand since they create a dialog with the moderator/host/anchor. Contributors generally have regular jobs and their appearances are often 5-10 min, often via satellite.

This guy says that he was "blackballed" because he worked at Fox News. But people who worked for FNC have found work at many other news channels. His accusation against other news outlets is bogus. That was his lame attempt at refuting the fact that he didn't just leave FNC if he wasn't happy there.

Spin what? Muto is a joke. He sold his soul to Gawker because he didn't approve of the tone of the anonymous internet commenters on Fox Nation? Fox propaganda would be wasted on this guy.

Ooops. Muto revealed to Howie that CNN and all the other news outlets would not hire him because they suspected he might be conservative. Way to go Howie, you just let him expose the hiring bias in the media.

Muto also said that the only place left where he could get work now would be Current, whose motto is "Meh...integrity, honesty, and credibility are overrated".

This is a total nothing of an interview. The guy answered no questions, was devious and evasive. Why if he'd been a Republican, I'm sure Howie would have torn into him with the requisite gusto. As it was, it was nothing. Doesn't make me want to see more.

The fun stuff was not is the answers to Kurtz' questions, but rather the stuff he volunteered about how CNN and other cable outlets refuse to allow conservative perspectives. BOOM! BUSTED!!!

How is that when Kurtz is drilling this guy? Every time CNN has a discussion panel I hear decent and smart sides to whatever topic they are covering from both sides and that is exactly what your supposed to have in journalism, not one well read and researched commentator and some guy who votes for liberals like I always see on Faux.
