I was surprised by the commentators today who depicted Ron Paul's views as nutty and extremist. It shows an appalling ignorance of classic liberal philosophy which has a long and honored tradition. I am not familiar enough with Mr. Paul's particular views to say whether they conform to this philosophy, but to belittle them without challenge demonstrates only the ignorance and lack of historical background of your CNN commentators.
