Really, Howard? When has CNN or any other journalist (or so-called) covered their own errors so thoroughly, including yourself?. If you listened to his one hour retraction you would see that it has all been said. Unless you wanted to hear yourself talk, there is nothing to be served by his being " interviewed " by you. My respect for CNN, yourself, and Wolf dwindles every time I watch I'm sad to say.
Absolutely dead on!! As a long-time fan of Ira and TAL, I was shocked to see this even mentioned on CNN. Thrilled to see that the comments support Ira and show the "news" media for what it is.
What questions? It was one the the most fulsome mea culpas in journalism history, IMHO. He laid it allmout there in last week's episode. He feels, i suspect, that after at least five days of massive media coverage it was time to move on. It is, Howard.
Agreed. TAL was not the perpetrator of this deception, it was the victim. I have heard no one suggest that they have anything to hide from or answer for – aside from Howard Kurtz.
Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover.
Brian Stelter is the host of "Reliable Sources" and the senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. Before he joined CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Top of the Morning."

TAL a victim? Whether someone lied to them or not, TAL took a one-man play at face value and broadcast it as fact. No victims there.
