Who do you think controls my medcail care now? Doctors? That's a laugh. It's my insurance company that says who I can see, when, how often, and how much I'll have to pay. They say what medicines I'm allowed to take, what is medcailly necessary, what is not covered . When I was on Medicaid everything was covered. There was no question of could I have this medicine or that. Could I have this test could I see this doctor. The last thing when you're sick that you need is to hear No.

Brian Stelter is the host of "Reliable Sources" and the senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. Before he joined CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Top of the Morning."
