Terence Smith, Nia-Malika Henderson, Lauren Ashburn and Howard Kurtz discuss President' Obama's announcement of support for gay marriage and how the media has handled it.
Shame on all pastors and church denominations that support gay marriage. God's word is clear. If a person has sex with another of the same sex, it is an abomination. Jesus never mentions it because it was a non-issue in his day among the Jews. They obeyed God's Word and such behavior was not tolerated. There was no need for Jesus to comment because the Jews got it right. Such behavior is a sin and can be forgiven like any other sin, but the sinner has to be repentant. So when pastors and churches sanction gay marriage they are sanctioning a sin and endorsing the unrepentant sinners.
Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover.
Brian Stelter is the host of "Reliable Sources" and the senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. Before he joined CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Top of the Morning."
