Sneak peek at this Sunday's show

By Pallavi Reddy, CNN

Let the ad wars begin! This week started with an Obama campaign web ad that targeted Mitt Romney’s time at Bain. A conservative Super PAC tried to strike back, proposing Romney’s campaign bring back Rev. Jeremiah Wright as a campaign issue. The media jumped on the stories immediately. National Review senior editor Ramesh Ponnuru, Newsweek/Daily Beast columnist and CNN contributor John Avlon, and RealClearPolitics’ Erin McPike will be on to discuss if the media have been used for free publicity.

After a week of hype, Facebook goes public on Friday. PandoDaily.com’s Sarah Lacy talks to Howard Kurtz about how Mark Zuckerberg has done it.

We’ll also have Larry Kramer, the digital pioneer who is now set to take over USA Today’s online future. And watch Howard’s conversation with Mike Rubens, the former Daily Show producer who realized that the people he thought he hated weren’t so bad after all.

This Sunday at 11a.m. ET on CNN.

john f.:If I was still an active meebmr of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I would indeed be averse to him becoming the most recognized public face of the faith. First, he would further reinforce the stereotype that LDS are, as Seth so well put it, narrow-minded conservative throwbacks. Given that I did not fit that stereotype while I was an active meebmr of the LDS church, I hate to see that stereotype reinforced on a rather grand scale. Second, he has repeatedly changed his publicly-stated views on a variety of issues, each time conveniently to fit the demographic wherein he is running for office. He has done this so often, that I am unable to conclude that he is an honest man. I would be concerned that he might commit an unethical act, which would, due to his position, reflect badly upon the LDS church.Third, he has made more than one public statement which I would frankly expect faithful LDS to find offensive. Take, for example, his public joke that he believes marriage should be between a man and a woman, and another woman, etc. Take, for another example, his recent comment that he couldn't imagine anything more awful than polygamy. I don't care that the majority of modern LDS would probably leave the church if plural marriage came back. Romney has shown, by his words, that he is completely willing to mock and/or repudiate principles which have been sacred to meebmrs of the LDS church, not to mention his own ancestors. This one makes me angry even as a FORMER meebmr of the LDS church.Fourth, Romney represents the so-called gospel of prosperity, which is already far too rampant in LDS culture. Seeing an extremely wealthy meebmr of the church elevated to such a position would only exacerbate that problem, I believe.Fifth, Romney's political views are, in my opinion, incongruent with those of a person who allegedly believes the U.S. Constitution was divinely inspired.I could go on, but this should be enough to make it clear that I'm not making a mere knee-jerk reaction here.

Could Mr. Kurtz be any more in the tank for Mitt Romney than was evidenced this morning on Reliable Sources?

just watching the show about Romney and the Mormon church and is it significant... well you guys live in a seperate world from folks who have gone to a potestant church (especially a southern baptist). I'm 54 years old and all of my life going to a Baptist Church, we would have the periodically sessions on cults etc.. and at the formost was the Mormon church..... Southern Baptist have been taught that Mormons are a cult, and that their beliefs in God are so different from the teachings of the SB. The SB even have a movie they pass around and show these damning points of difference.....My concern now is the fact that the SB (now prodominately Republican) are down playing these points and are wooing and changing their convictions just to go against President Obama...
Another point you guys bounced around... is the point .. is this really right.. is this necessary. Well, the media and the SB have memories like the Jewish nation when they were in the desert for 40 years. You have a very short memory..... remember how they doubted God and His ability to take care of them and just a few short days before, He had parted the Red Sea and the Egyptian Army was destroyed by Him. Just one example.... anyway... just 4 short years ago, President Obama was accused of being a racist for attending the church where Jeremiah Wright was preaching, and he was and still is accused of being a muslim. These were TOP points on MANY media broadcast for MUCH of the political season...So does Romney being a Mormon matter.... YES.... (Just for one point of interest.. if and when Romney goes into the Mormon Temple to worship.. his US Secret Service staff will have to be in good staniding Mormons also.

Of course the media is paying very much attention to Gov. Romney. We've known President Obama for 3 + years. Gov. Romney is widely unknown. I welcome information on both.
