I love to watch your show, but due to my work schedule miss many episodes. So my question to you is ,have you been noticing what Chris Matthews is alluding to more and more often–he seems to be bringing up the "race card ". Just tonight in the discussion with the former mayor of Oakland and another panelist he actually asked if they thought the question of Eric Holter might have a racial component to it (paraphrasing here)! I know his show is about his opinion, but I really think he is sinking below all journalistic standards and simply trying to stir up trouble.
I notice that the media is not showing video of reporters interrupting President Reagan while he was making statements.
There is tape of White House reporters shouting out questions to Reagan about Iran/Contra right in the middle of his comments.
Also, if we want to look at rude reporters, look no further than Helen Thomas and Sam Donaldson, both of whom had obvious dislike for Republican Presidents.
Larry / OK, I threw all the names in a hat and had my wife draw one out. The winner is .. AaronChan !Congrats Aaron! I'll send you a DM to get your info.

Don’t worry about the way we treat American Presidents. Thanks, Republicans for setting the standard… never will a President get respect again…I am cheering for the next republican.
Long time viewer but first time commenting. Howard you have a great show but you were just as rude to the Iraq War reporter by cutting him off and clearly blaming him for going to war as the reporter who cut off Obama. Our vets and our reporters deserve better. Have him back.
Where were you in the 60's and 70's? LBJ and Nixon got great treatment by the press?
Thank you, Dani! After hearing your trianing last night, I realize one of my biggest problems is focus or lack of it. I have struggled with it for a very long time, but realize that in order to achieve what I want, I have to learn to focus on ONE THING, not many things/ideas, creating the chaos of di-vision. Thanks again! Love you! Bless you!
Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover.
Brian Stelter is the host of "Reliable Sources" and the senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. Before he joined CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Top of the Morning."
