Conservatives Critical of Moderator

Jennifer Rubin, David Shuster and Howard Kurtz discuss why pundits on the right were quick to attack the performance of Tuesday’s debate moderator, Candy Crowley.

Candy Crowley was & is biased. Her false "fact-checking" being evidence. How could a "reporter" not know what Obama and his group of people had been saying about the Benghazi attacks? She had to search to find the words "Acts of Terror" since they were so far into the transcript.
How sad that you guys are so dishonest, even with yourselves. You have lost your credibility because you have ignored integrity.
BYW...noticed you replaced "Romney Revealed" last night with "Obama Revealed" ....hmmmmm maybe afraid someone might learn to know something good about Romney before the election? Just another example of bias.
So glad you can not be trusted as you used to be.

Howard Kurtz did exactly what the moderator did , lean a segment to the left .

Howard conveniently left out the TIME CLOCK when he showed the moderator interrupting Romney from continuing, when he demanded equal time.

Steve or is guests never mention that the by the end of the first 2 questions, The President had a 3 minute advantage on Romney . That's because Candy never allowed Romney to rebut the President's rebuttal , so in essence the President talked 4 times , Romney 3 times. Romney complained to that nature, Crowley shut him up .

The President had a 6 minute talking lead at one point over Romney , how do you explain a 6 minute lead , when each candidate has 2 minutes to talk and there is a TIME CLOCK visible for both the candidate and the Moderator to see.

Crowley interrupted Romney 28 times to interrupting the President 9 times.

Crowley Fact Checked incorrectly saying that the President did say "Act of War " when he really said "Acts of War " referring to all extremists' acts on Americas interests since 9/11/01.

The most important question in the debate "Who was it that denied enhanced security and why? ", The President balked on the answer and Candy put her time into the question and deviated the question into a Fact Check . The Moderator NEVER insisted that the question be answered .

In the end the President spoke 4 more minutes then Romney did , the same advantage he has got in every Debate.

Town Hall Debates is about giving regular citizens an opportunity to get their questions answered, the Moderator didn't make it her point to have the candidates answer the questions. All the facts say that the Moderator was leaning a toward a certain party . Regardless who won or lost the debate , stating that one Party complains after their candidate loses the debate and blames the moderator has ZERO to do with it . Its like 3 or 4 awful calls are made in a football game , but those calls were ok to be made , since the team won even with the bad calls.

My observation was that Candy Crowley is an Obama Groupie , she falls just short of collusion with the President and his people, in just happening in having the notes, handy , on the "Act of Terror " statement, which happened to be the wrong phrase said in the transcript .

I used to consider CNN my #1 source for unbiased news and commentary, but sadly this debate fiasco is for me the last straw. Your lack of integrity is exacerbated by the fact that you (CNN) are trying to prop up Ms.Crowley I am a female independent who does not vote straight ticket and have voted for democrats in past presidential elections. Was not a Bush fan, but saw through Obama from the get go. Too bad so many unsuspecting Americans did not do their homework in 2008. Let's hope that, despite the best efforts of CNN, MSNBC, et. al. the American public wakes up and gets it right this time!

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm not sure why I thought of CNN as neutral, but after the debate I started watching with a more suspicious eye, and lo and behold they are as biased as MSNBC or CBS/ABC/NBC. Then to place an ad defending her performance reveals more than these comments ever could. They now what she did and meant for her to do it. We might as well have a state controlled media since it seems impossible to have a fair election in the USA anymore since the media is just so disgustingly biased. And people have the nerve to attack Foxnews, like there shouldn't be even one network that leans the other way.

Kudos to Jennifer Rubin for mopping up the floor with David Shuster. Wow, that was embarassing for the left. Shuster showed once again why he is stuck working at Al Gore's glorified public access channel.

So we have a townhall debate with "undecided" voters from very liberal New York.
Might that be why we got a question about the Lilly Ledbetter law (which has to do with trial lawyers and suing rather than equal pay), as well as asking Romney how he would be different than Pres. bush (notice that no one asked Pres. Obama how he would be different than Jimmy Carter).

Fact checking during a debate is fine as long as you are going to fact check both sides.
Ms. Crowley interrupted Gov. romney during his time, and knocked him off his game. She also followed the orders of the President, when he told her to "say it again louder". She repeated herself as he requested.
this was also the third debate when the DEmocrat got the most speaking time.

so let's see. Candy Crowley announces romney's pick of paul ryan for v.p.as a "death wish" ticket. Oh yea, I know, she didn't actually say it, she was rather repeating what "some republicans" were telling her. Probably the same person who told harry reid that romney hadn't paid taxes in 10 years, another thing that candy was important enough to pass along to all of her viewers. Then, at the end of the debate, on the last question, candy lies for obama about calling the attack in libya an act of terror (with 65 million people watching). let's review....obama lies, candy covers for him, but later w/ no one watching (cause nobody watches cnn), candy admits mitt was right. These are some of the reasons "conservatives" are complaining about crowley. She is an obama lover, period. But, even the obama-loving media, cannot hide the president's failed tenure, and that is why romney will win this election and be a president for all americans, not just the liberal elite media and hollywood rich people.
