How come it comes back to Fox News all the time? Msnbc is a cheer-leading media outlet itself. I really do n't think a 20% dip is the end of the world. They will do what it takes and get the ratings back.

Ya' Know...Howard Kurtz has really been losing credibility as an earnest, unbiased analyzer of media – today's show being a prime example of why this is so:
Joe Concha is as BIASED as it gets as a so-called media pundit!!!!!
For Kurtz to sit there and let Concha only trash MSNBC (as a biased media outlet) with impunity was awful!
I kid you not...!
Joe Concha was on FOX NEWs of all places...get this...lamenting the bias of media outlets (such as MSNBC) in collusion with politics!!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't stop laughing...
FOX NEWs...the creator of our current biased media environment!!!
Think about this...!
Concha is tryin' to hide this angry white guy, reverse victimology mentality, behind this facade of earnest indignation at the foibles of our current media environment.
Kurtz just sat there and let this guy fly with clearly biased commentary in regards to his (Concha's) trashing of MSNBC, and his lauding of FOX NEWs' Roger Ailes over author Jonathan Alter.
Why?
Perhaps, he (Kurtz,) gave Concha a pass because nice things were said about CNN's 'breaking news' coverage?
CNN has developed a bad reputation for 'jumping-the-gun' in terms of 'breaking news' coverage – this wasn't mentioned!
Maybe...Kurtz – with his own recent Jason Collins 'gay' out coming debacle – saw a kindred spirit in Joe Concha, (whom made comments about what he considered too much coverage of gay issues).
Howard & Joe Concha obviously didn't spend much time watching MSNBC during the Boston bombing case or the Oklahoma tornadoes – the network covered the hell out of those stories. In fact, it would not be a surprise if the Oklahoma affiliate that provided a lot of the tornado coverage wins a Pulitzer. The comments by Phil Griffin are one thing but when Howard and Joe used the recent tragedies as examples of MSNBC's lack of breaking news coverage, they were way off base.
Uh-huh. Sure. Their "coverage" included Chris Matthews speculating early on that the bombing was the work of some right-wing group. Remember when Matthews immediately tried to place partial blame for the Gabby Giffords shooting on Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck? He obviously hasn't learned from his mistakes.

Yeah...of course FOX NEWs would never speculate...HAHAHAHAHAHA....?!!
...HAHAHAHAHAHA....
At this point, I'm, pretty sure they've probably accused Obama/Clinton of kidnapping the Lindbergh baby – amongst other things – by now; and destroying KRYPTON.

I agree...
The entire segment came as a self-serving 'hit job' by an MSNBC competitor (CNN through Kurtz), and a phony commentator (Concha) attempting to mask his true biased feelings.
Oh...by the way...look up Joe Concha and FOX NEWs on 'Youtube'...
Now more than ever, the press is a part of every story it covers. And CNN's "Reliable Sources" is one of television's only regular programs to examine how journalists do their jobs and how the media affect the stories they cover.
Brian Stelter is the host of "Reliable Sources" and the senior media correspondent for CNN Worldwide. Before he joined CNN in November 2013, Stelter was a media reporter for The New York Times. He is the author of the New York Times best-seller "Top of the Morning."
