Did NBC punish Gaza reporter for bias?

In the video above, Brian Stelter talks with CNN International anchor Jim Clancy about the unique challenges in coverage of the Middle East.

"It's very difficult territory," Clancy said. "A journalist can only expect that, if he's really doing a good job, both sides are criticizing his reporting."

Clancy also discussed NBC's decision to remove foreign correspondent Ayman Mohyeldin from Gaza, only to reinstate him a few days later amid a barrage of criticism from Mohyeldin's fans and fellow correspondents. Check out Stelter's related story about NBC here.

I'm amazed that when they do interview Palestinian spokespeople, they always avoid the questions. They just seem to rant about the killings of women and children. Questions about why they are hiding weapons in schools and firing rockets from crowded areas never get a real response. Just more ranting about the Israeli's. For the life of me, I don't understand how a leadership of a country or faction lives in Qatar in villas and not in the territory they represent. Why doesn't someone interview a Palestinian on the street and confront them about how Hamas is using them to push the Hamas agenda, and point out that Hamas really doesn't care about the civilian deaths. Hamas leaders all seem to live somewhere out of harms way.

Plainly speaking, NBC is wrong to punish their reporter for showing the human toll in this war/bombing. These poor people are caught in the middle someone has to report on the civilian Palestinian tragedy. If anything NBC is showing their bias by punishing their only Arab reporter. Is NBC being pressured to curb reporting from the Palestinian point? Shouldn't both sides always be considered?
Thank you for the discussion. As always your topics are informative and bright.
