Cosby accuser: media protected TV star

Barbara Bowman, who has accused comedian Bill Cosby of rape, says some major media outlets ignored her allegations for years.

"I wish that people had been paying closer attention," Bowman told Brian Stelter.

And "I wish that there were more gutsy journalists to take that on," she added. "But I also - I have to have some empathy for the journalists - because I think that sometimes there are situations when they feel their hands are tied."

Bowman said it is "a little bit on the irresponsible side" for NBC to be developing a new sitcom with Cosby at the center. "I think they need to take a good, hard look at what is important to them," she added.

Tuned-in to CNN by accident last Sunday. After this old non-story blows over, yet again, I hope Mr. Cosby files a major defamation lawsuit against pseudo-journalistic hacks like Brian Stelter. How mind boggling, and fraudulent, for CNN to continue the so-called news show - and call itself "Reliable Sources." The only "Reliable" part of Stelter and this show is that it's another reason I stopped watching CNN for real news. Its days of being a genuine news source of integrity left soon after Ted Turner retired. Even my 20-something college educated kids think CNN is a joke, and not because of John Stewart or their social media peers. CNN: Complete Nonsense News!

If these allegations were true all of the woman would have stated something sooner they were not young children. These woman were old enough to say no and decide foe them selves. Who's to say these woman didn't do it. To get attention in the media world anyways. None of the woman should have the right to distroy someone's life like this now. Years after there soo called victimization. Why did you wait after soo many years. Woman involved with anything in court at 17 now. Get charged as an adult why we acting like these woman were children. Weather or weather not he did rape these so called woman. I think it should be left in the past. We these so called woman left it for soo many years there lives were obviously not affected by it for this long why now did they decide to speak up. I think it's for attention or they want money
